CV
I am a Ph.D. student in Computer Science at the University of Georgia. My work combines computer vision, machine learning, multimodal data, and large language models to develop practical systems for healthcare, precision medicine, and animal behavior analysis.
Education
- Ph.D. in Computer Science, University of Georgia, Athens, GA — Fall 2022–Present
- M.S. in Information Technology, Iran University of Science and Technology, Tehran, Iran — 2011–2015
- Thesis: A New Method to Estimate QoE for Internet Users
- B.S. in Information Technology, Shiraz University of Technology, Shiraz, Iran — 2006–2010
Research and Professional Experience
- Graduate Research Assistant, Intelligent Systems for Poultry Lab, University of Georgia — 2025–Present
- Develop computer-vision and multimodal data systems for animal tracking, behavior analysis, and early disease-detection research.
- Build data-collection and analysis workflows that integrate multi-camera video, sensor, phenotype, and genetic data for precision poultry management.
- Graduate Research and Teaching Assistant, School of Computing, University of Georgia — 2022–2025
- Conducted research in AI, computer vision, health informatics, and systems; contributed to projects involving efficient language-model inference and DNS-log analysis.
- Supported instruction in discrete mathematics and computer networks; recipient of the UGA School of Computing Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award (Spring 2024).
- Linux Expert, Parspack Cloud Services, Tehran, Iran — 2021–2022
- Resolved customer issues involving Linux servers, cloud hosting, VPS environments, and related infrastructure.
- IT Consultant, Monenco, Tehran, Iran — 2020–2022
- Supported a power-company communication project connecting more than 200 branches through a Cisco VoIP system.
- Technical Manager, HamyarNet ISP, Fars Province, Iran — 2017–2020
- Led the technical team responsible for expanding and maintaining ADSL2+ and point-to-point wireless internet services.
Startups and Self Founded Projects
- Puzzle, Shiraz, Iran — 2014–2017
- Founded and ran an independent network-services startup, leading an installation team and producing network-management devices.
- Installed passive and active telecom infrastructure for ISPs: racks, cable ladders, structured cabling for ADSL voice lines, DSLAMs, routers, and switches.
- Delivered SOHO and corporate network installation, overhaul, and maintenance, including domain controllers, internal internet distribution, and IP telephony support.
- Designed and built JIBBIK, a Raspberry Pi-based network-management appliance for internet distribution in companies; sold 20 units. Read more
- Built and operated pazel.ir, a free website that ranked ISPs by service quality and tariffs for each area on a map, using Raspberry Pi-based measurement probes and small agents to periodically collect network data (available bandwidth, RTT, jitter) and score providers accordingly, and release the transparent reports on the website, helping users choose the best ISP for their location (discontinued).
