Advancements in AI for Breast Cancer Diagnosis: A 2024–2025 Systematic Review Update

Breast cancer (BC) is a prominent global health burden, highlighting the urgent need for innovation in early detection, precise diagnostics, and personalized treatment. The recent developments in artificial intelligence (AI) have transformed BC research, enhancing diagnostic accuracy, prognostic assessment, and treatment planning. By highlighting recent progress and continuing challenges, this review provides critical observations on the evolving role of AI in BC research and its potential to enhance patient care. With consideration of 285 recent articles, this study highlights the dominant trend toward transformer-based models and hybrid models, which reflects the continuous evolution of AI techniques in BC diagnosis and treatment.
